Set in Milan’s CityLife (Europe’s largest urban requalification) this proposal shows how empathy can guide zoning, streets, and public spaces. The idea behind the project rises from the analysis of the CityLife site, its points of strength and its problematics. Studying the area, the main criticalities we encountered were the disproportion of shadow and the exclusivity of the housing offer. Through on-site surveys and data analysis, we identified exclusivity and limited affordability, then leveraged CityLife’s potential for flexible, people-centered solutions. Our design prioritizes walkability, green corridors, and amenities for diverse users. By merging affordable units with luxury residences, we aim to bridge social gaps and make CityLife more welcoming. The result is a vision that fosters interaction, celebrates cultural exchange, and enriches human feelings.
